Additional Porter-Cable FR350A Round Head 2-Inch to 3-1/2-Inch Framing Nailer Information

The Porter-Cable FR350A Round Head 2-Inch to 3-1/2-Inch Framing Nailer drives nails into engineered lumber up to 3-1/2 inches and features a consistent power in each shot. The 64 nail magazine fires via selectable trigger that can be set on either restrictive or contact actuation mode. The FR350A requires 70-120 PSI air pressure to operate. Its compact body and precise balance make it easier to shoot, as does the bypass nail pusher for quick reloading. The innovative nail lockout system alerts the user to reload tool when magazine is empty.

What Customers Say About Porter-Cable FR350A Round Head 2-Inch to 3-1/2-Inch Framing Nailer:

One thing that i have noticed with this gun however is that if the nails run low in the feeder and there are only two or three nails left it is best to add another string of nails. I purchased this framing nailer after having owned the Porter Cable brad and finish nailers. The gun jams up many times at this point if nails aren't added. They worked well so i finally decided to buy a framing nailer and went with this one. I have used this nailer on a few large projects and it has worked fairly well. This is the only time i have experienced jams when using this gun. The gun works fine otherwise and seems durable.

No misfires, no jams, no problems. Erected a 10 section, 125 foot privacy fence. Purchased a 6 gal pancake compressor combo pack with a brad and FR350A framing nailer. Nailer worked perfectly. 20 2x4s and 260 1x6 pickets. Used 3", 23/8", and 2" hot dip galvanized, ringed nails. Set up consisted (in order) of a 50' 3/8" hose, a contaminant/moisture fliter, an accessory hose, an in line oiler, and the nailer. I highly recommend this time and labor saving product.

I HAD TO PAY SHIPPING BOTH WAYS ON THIS ORDER. I DID NOT WANT THIS ITEM. I WAS NEVER ASKED TO CONFIRM MY ORDER I WILL NEVER USE AMAZON AGAIN. I TRIED TO STOP IT BUT IT WAS TO LATE. AMAZON HAS A VERY POOR SYSTEM I WANT MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER REMOVED AT ONCE

I am a weekend warrior, not a pro. It was easiest to just let the tool recoil like it wanted rather than trying to keep it planted against the surface. Even in restricted fire mode you can fire extremely rapidly and essentially the same as you would in bump mode by bumping and squeezing the trigger at the same time.

I set the regulator on the compressor to 100 psi and I got consistent results with even depth of driven nails. The tool-less air exhaust port is great as getting blasted in the face is a little unnerving at times. However after using this tool for 3 weekends while constructing a shed it has proven itself to be efficient and reliable.

For this reason I saw no need to engage bump fire mode and stayed on the slightly safer restricted mode. I have a 4.5 Gallon, 1.8 HP, 150 psi Ridgid compressor that cycles on when the pressure drops between 100 and 110 psi and it had no problem keeping up with me.Nails are very easy to load, and not too hard to unload when you need to change size (the nail lock release tab is a little small and hard to press if your wearing gloves). I used 3 1/2" 16d ring-shanked framing nails and 2 3/8" 8d ring-shanked nails, both could be driven flush with the surface with minor depth adjustments.

This tool definitely packs a punch and has a fair recoil but was easy to handle even for a novice. Knowing it's power potential I was always very wary of where I placed my hands to keep them safe. This is a fine tool and hard to beat for the money.

This nailer works great. It is a bit slower at the trigger that I'm used to but overall, great gun. I just used it to frame a new home for a client.
